The Kidspiration activities focus mainly on comprehension and help to extend what the children learned while reading Diary of a Worm. These activities also help to integrate technology into learning and reading this book. Included are links to the teacher information pages for these activities.

1. "A Worm's Front Yard": This activity mainly focuses on earth science. It helps the children to understand more about the earth and the materials that it is made out of. This activity is designed to help students distinguish between what is an earth material and what is not an earth material.

2. "A Kid's Life": This activity focuses on english/language arts skills. It helps the students build thier writing skills by writing simple sentences. It also helps the children make the book more meaningful by having them make a list of things they like and things they do not like, just like worm.

The Teacher Information sheet for "A Kid's Life" includes the grade level of the activity, the software needed, subject area of the activity, a brief description of the activity, and the standards that the activity addresses.
